VVM- Śāstra Pratibhā Contest- UAE

We are excited to announce the launch of the VVM - Sastra Pratibha Contest (SPC) 2025-26, organized in association with NCERT (Ministry of Education, Government of India) and NCSM (National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India).

This prestigious science contest is part of an international mission to uplift society by using science as a powerful tool for development and transformation. Over the years, SPC has grown into one of the largest science competitions across the GCC and India, inspiring thousands of students to develop scientific temper, curiosity, and critical thinking skills. This year, the contest offers even more exceptional opportunities, including the introduction of a GCC Zonal Level and a National Level Camp in India, providing platforms for unmatched exposure, mentorship, and recognition.

Śāstra Pratibhā Contest (International Edition of VVM)

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan will be conducted in the GCC countries - Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates - under the name Śāstra Pratibhā Contest by Science India/International Forum, an overseas unit of Vijnana Bharati.

From this year onwards, the top 2 rankers (Class VI-XI) of the Śāstra Pratibhā Contest will also participate in the National Level Camp Examination. These students will be considered eligible for selection as National Level Winners (Himalayans).

A separate zone (Zone 5) will be created for GCC countries to declare Zonal Level Winners. GCC students will be eligible to compete in both the GCC Zone and the National Zone (Himalayan) subjected to VVM terms and conditions for international participation. For more specific details, please contact the SIF units in the respective GCC countries.

OBJECTIVES OF VIDYARTHI VIGYAN MANTHAN (VVM)

To create interest in pure science among students
To educate school children about India's contributions to the world of science and technology, from traditional to modern age
To provide hands-on training to students through workshops and other events
To provide hands-on training to students through workshops and other events
To conduct competitive exams to identify students who have a scientific bent of mind
To provide mentors for preparing students to carry forward their education in the field of science
To identify successful students at the State/Zone and National levels and felicitate them
To organise exposure visits for the winners to various R&D institutions in the country
To identify and nurture scientific aptitude through its unique scholastic aptitude test

Format: 100 questions / 90 minutes

Qualifying Criteria

Answers of Section-B will be checked only if studetns secures equal or more than 50%(i.e equal to or more than 20 marks) in Section-A.

NATIONAL CAMP (NC): LEVEL-IV

Top two students from each class i.e. total 12 students from each zone will be invited to a two-day National Camp. The National Camp (NC) will comprise of Presentations, Activities to test Scientific Understanding, Innovation, Creativity, Out-of-Box Thinking and Assessment of Leadership Quality.
