Event 1: UAE Innovative Projects competition (Onsite)

Theme: "Understanding Ecosystem for Health & Well-being."

Sub-themes :

• Know your Ecosystem.
• Fostering Health, Nutrition & Well-being.
• Social & Cultural Practice for Ecosystem & Health.
• Ecosystem-Based Approach (EBA) for Self-Reliance.
• Technological Innovation for Ecosystem & Health.

Format:

• Teams will consist of two students. Each school can submit up to three projects per category.
• Projects will be displayed in an exhibition format on Day 1.
• The top five teams from each category will present their full project on Day 2. Presentations will be 8 minutes, followed by a 2-minute Q&A with the judges.
• The top two teams in each category will be named winners.

Categories:

• Junior: Ages 10 to under 14 years.
• Senior: Ages 14 to under 17 years.

Registration:

• Register by emailing the list of participants and projects to ncscuae@gmail.com by October 15th, 2025.
• Project abstracts must be sent to the same email address by the registration deadline.

Event 2: Science Innovative Skit Contest (Online)

Description: Teams will create a skit based on the themes of the UAE Innovative Projects competition.

Categories::

• Junior: Ages 10 to under 14 years (max. 4 entries per school; max. 5 members per team).
• Senior: Ages 14 to under 17 years (max. 4 entries per school; max. 5 members per team).

Format:

• Videos should be 5 minutes or less.
• Submit YouTube links to ncscuae@gmail.com by October 15th, 2025.
• Judging Criteria: Creativity & Presentation (40%), Originality (30%), Relevance to Theme (30%).

Event 3: Poster Making Contest (Onsite)

Description: This is a team event with two participants per team. The topic will be announced one hour before the contest.

Categories :

• Junior: Ages 10 to under 14 years (max. 2 teams per school).
• Senior: Ages 14 to under 17 years (max. 2 teams per school). Details:
• Participants must bring their own materials. A3 size sheets will be provided.
• The contest duration is 1.5 hours.

Judging Criteria::

• Creativity & Presentation (40%), Originality (30%), Relevance to Theme (30%).

Event 4: Scientific Case Study (Online)

Description: Teams of three will find solutions to a global issue, considering ethical, social, and economic implications.

Categories :

• Junior: Ages 10 to under 14 years (max. 3 teams per school).
• Senior: Ages 14 to under 17 years (max. 3 teams per school). Details:
• Registered teams will receive the case topic and instructions via email by October 16th, 2025.
• Presentations will be critiqued and scored by a panel of judges.

Registration :

• Email the list of participants to ncscuae@gmail.com by October 15th, 2025. Case study submissions are also due by October 21st 2025.

Event 5: The Third Eye – Photography Contest (Online)

Description: An individual event for students to explore and communicate scientific concepts through photography.

Categories :

• Junior: Ages 10 to under 14 years (max. 3 entries per school).
• Senior: Ages 14 to under 17 years (max. 3 entries per school).

Submission:

• Email images to ncscuae@gmail.com by October 15th, 2025.
• Images must be the sole work of the student and captured with a digital camera. Minor processing is allowed, but significant alterations are not.
• Include the following details with each image: name, age, school, emirate, title (max. 50 characters), and a brief description of the scientific concept (max. 300 characters).

Event 6: Science Quiz Competition (Onsite)

Description: A team-based event for two students per team.

Categories :

• Junior: Ages 10 to under 14 years (max. 3 teams per school).
• Senior: Ages 14 to under 17 years (max. 3 teams per school). Format:
• A preliminary written test will select the top five teams for the final round.

• Email the list of participants to ncscuae@gmail.com by October 15th, 2025.

Event 7: Colouring/Drawing Contest to Promote Environmental Awareness (Onsite)

Description: An open category event for students to showcase their artistic talent.

Categories :

• Ages 5 to under 8 years.
• Ages 8 to under 12 years.
• Ages 12 to under 16 years.

Registration:

• Online registration opens October 10th, 2025, on the SIF website.
• A registration fee of AED 15 per entry is required.
• Spot registration will also be available on the day of the event.

Event 8: Elocution Contest (Onsite)

Description: An individual public speaking contest.

Categories :

• Junior: Ages 10 to under 14 years (max. 2 entries per school).
• Senior: Ages 14 to under 17 years (max. 2 entries per school).

Details :

• The topic will be announced in September 2025.
• The time limit is 4 minutes, with a warning bell at 3 minutes.
