National Children's Science Congress’ is the flag ship program of the National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science & Technology (DST) and Government of India. NCSC provides the children of 10 to 17 years from all over the country a unique opportunity to use their scientific temperament and knowledge to make their own dreams come true. The program was initiated in India in 1993. This program encourages students to form groups of maximum 5 students and do a project, which is a study of a problem carried out with a objective of finding out a solution of the problem. It involves defining the problem, making the hypothesis, observation, collection of data through survey or experimentation, its analysis and then arriving at conclusion to find out the solution. The themes and the subthemes for the project will be announced every year. In 2015,The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India appointed Science International Forum – UAE to conduct the screening test for this program, which will be called NCSC- Young Scientists Program . The winners of this contest will participate in the national Children Science Congress held in India, every year.
